Description Security analysts, incident responders, SOC teams, IT professionals, cybersecurity educators
This hands-on session builds on the virtual lab foundation established during the Proxmox VE workshop. Participants will dive into Security Onion, an open-source platform for threat detection, network monitoring, and incident response. Using the environments they created earlier in the day, attendees will simulate real-world cyberattacks and practice detecting, analyzing, and responding to those threats using Security Onion’s powerful tools—Zeek, Suricata, TheHive, CyberChef, and more. This training gives blue teams, educators, and hands-on practitioners a practical framework for building repeatable, resilient cybersecurity labs.
