Mike has over 30 years of experience in Information Technology including 18 years in Security. Mike’s experience includes assisting organizations with establishing and maintaining security programs and providing guidance on measuring the effectiveness of security controls to ensure organizational objectives are met. Mike is a leading expert in PCI assessment, NIST RMF, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-171, HIPAA, MARS-E, ISO Management Systems, SOC2, Policy and Program Development, and education, healthcare, privacy, and the public sector.
Mike is also an experienced CISO, having worked “on the front lines” for public sector organizations and public universities. He has a unique ability to translate risk, best practices, and compliance requirements into practical strategies for improving the security posture of his clients. Mike’s experience highlights include supporting several of the Wyoming community colleges by providing security assessments and strategic advisory. Mike also is an active member of the Wyoming SLEDs Security Advisory Board.
